Hyper Grace and the Battle With Fornication

author | Mack Major

Can I be honest with you? I never 'struggled' with fornication. I simply caved into it! There was no 'struggle.'

People only struggle to do what they 'do not' want to do. But when it's something that has become habitual or even pleasurable to us, we simply do what comes natural.

The real struggle came with being honest and real with myself. I had a choice: I could continue doing what my flesh enjoyed doing, which came natural to me at that point in time. Or I could believe the Word of God when it said that God would judge me severely if I continued committing sexual sins.

That's where the struggling began for me in earnest. It was the struggle to accept God's Word as truth versus my flesh that wanted to believe I could still sin and be acceptable before a holy God.

See, I was just like many of you. I had begun to believe in what Paul referred to as 'another gospel.' Another term for this gospel would be Hyper Grace. It's a message that basically says no matter what we do, no matter how much we sin, no matter how we live an unrepented lifestyle—God still accepts us and our place in Heaven is secure.

Sound familiar?

I fell for Satan's bait too. After all: who wouldn't sign up for such a tempting offer: commit all the sin you want and no worries—Heaven will still be your home.

The only problem with Hyper Grace is that the Bible clearly refutes it from Genesis to Revelation...

"But you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die." [Genesis 2:17]

"For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries... How much...punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant...and has outraged the Spirit of grace? " [Hebrews 10:26-29]

"Remember, then, what you have received and heard. Keep it and repent. If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know the hour when I will come upon you." [Revelation 3:3]

I had to finally come to terms with the fact that NO ONE gets a free sin pass in this life. Everyone who wants to be 'for real for real' saved MUST repent, stop sinning and start living a clean life. There is no plan B; and it's not optional. It's either repent or perish.

Once I accepted that God's Word was true and everything else opposing it was a lie—the struggle for me ended. I found both the grace and the ability to live a clean righteous life once I made up my mind and committed in my heart to live a lifestyle that pleased Jesus Christ.

And so will you!

End the struggle today. Let Jesus help you by making up your mind to be helped. Most of you are struggling with sin because you don't want to stop sinning. This is why folks argue for their deficiencies, instead of standing on God's Word to claim their victory.

There is victory in Jesus Christ. All you have to do is want that victory seriously, and embrace it. Then live from a position of triumph. And if you need extra resources, download my ebooks. They'll help you get your will power for righteous living where it needs to be, so you can decide to live holy and pleasing to God.

I pray you come out of sin and decide to live right today. You may not have as much time as you might think.

"Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed." [Revelation 16:15]
